I'm really interested in checking one out but I dont want to go on one of those tours. So my questions are, where are they?, how much does it cost?, what do you get? and what's the procedure for checking in/out? Thanks!
im not sure how much it costs but someone was telling me that all you have to do is walk in and pay at the counter and on ur way out u just return the keys you dont see them they dont see you as it countered and only the slot to put your money in is open (i dont know too much as someone was just telling us about it when we first got here)
Some of them are like a bank drive thru. You drive up, if the room is lit, it's available. If its not lit up, its taken. YOu then drive to your room number, park your car and have fun, lol. You have to pay thru a bank shoot too. It's all about the privacy!
There is a street near Awase that has hundreds of love motels. My Okinawan friend knows the owner of the "Mint House" and knows their quality of cleanliness, so thats the one we tried. It was lots of fun! We had a "Gym" theme in our room. Most of the rooms have a theme.
We went to one for my Husbands birthday and it was fun our room was a space theme. I would go again I would probley try another one though. Google love hotels you will find out a lot about them. I think we paid 3,400 yen.
We went to the Mint House last year. It was VERY clean and VERY nice. You can stay all night, not just one hour. Our room was 3 stories. We had a blast and will defintely go back before we leave the island again.
Awwwright! Sexy time! Sign me up! I'm taking hubby to this for anniversay!!! Maybe without the swimming pool. I may get a bit drunk and try and collect on insurance off the hubby. LOL. J/K!
LOL ... I found the best rooms at all the love hotels my husband and i have been to be the VIP rooms the are a little more expensive but well worth it! there is a whole valley of the near awase meadows golf course(sorry if its misspelled)they seem to be easier to find at night!
I can't remember the room #. When you drive in though, it has a board with the numbers that are available. You get out and push the room you want. There are pics on the board, so you can see before hand what you are getting. Dana is right. The hotels are right past Awase Meadows. If you girls that want to go, we can get together one day and I will show you where they are located.
Hey ladies, how bout some directions, lol. Please keep in mind that I get lost on Kadena, so pretend you're giving directions to a five year old. That mint one sounds good.....
I told my husband I want to go to one but he wont take me. He said that he will feel like he is degrading me, and that I am worth so much more than that, lol.
wooo thanks!!
He said that he will feel like he is degrading me, and that I am worth so much more than that, lol.
pooh. where's his sense of adventure lol.
Love Motel, or not. I just liked the fact that we didn't have to worry about the neighbors or the kids! LOL!
It was nice to get out and do something "crazy".
Wow I went to that site I never thought to go to one of them with my husband. We always ride by and he tells me that those are the Love Motels but I thought only, you know, the bad people went there.......LOL. Tomorrow is our anniversary we might have to go to the Mint House.
I can't say that I've ever heard of anyone regretting going! Have fun TJ. Oh, and if you plan to stay all night, check in is at 10 pm. Otherwise, if you go before 10 pm its hourly, (or half hourly in some cases, lol.)
Okinawahai actually has an article
http://www.okinawahai.com/my_weblog/2007/04/love-hotels-101.html
I will have to check it out. The one discussed on OH looks really clean and it's by foster.
Ok SO what else is inside the one with the pool? Is it a pool and a bed kinda ting, I looked at the web page and only saw a pic of the pool :)
Thx for the info
The one with the pool has a kareoke (sp) machine with english songs on it, huge shower with water that comes out in every direction imaginable, tv (but it's in Japanese), bedroom, living room, toy machines, and a refridgerator, of course, you have to pay for the stuff you use.
Ok SO u said u have to pay for stuff u use (like the stuff in the fridge) or like the pool? Etc? We have never been before and want to be sure we bring enough yen etc.
