some things you should know about me: I live with my parents. I am 19. I work on Kadena. My dream is to be a cop.. but my second choice would be to work with children. I have a chihuahua, she is my child :) I smoke. I don't party, but I have a good time. Also, the guy may want to know (hopefully it doesn't matter.. but I want them to know what to expect) I am a little overweight 5 ft 6 and weigh 175 (woot woot) BUT I go to the gym 5-6 days a week now.. so that is changing :D I am not looking for someone to "do the dirty" with.. so if that is all they want, I am not their girl :) Doesn't HAVE to be military though.. like if you know other people that have graduated since being here... lol I would prefer military or someone who at least has a job :) (i don't want to have to pay for EVERYTHING lol :p) I would say 25 for the age limit.. maybe 26 if its a really nice guy :) 

I wish I knew some guys that weren't jackasses... I think this island brings out the worst in people, for real!

mmmmmm I know a couple who myself and my husband would say are genuinely nice guys. The only problem is is that they are not virgins and I would hope that they would respect your decision to stay one. PM me if you want to know more about them:)

I have met all single guys, they are either recluses (staying in playing video games but really smart) or jackasses that try to get other guys to go to hooker hill with them. If you ever come over Jamie we can arrange it so one of the guys are over and you can see if you click with him...he is 19 (almost 20) not a drinker or a smoker (against drinking currently, but he sits with us when we are smoking hookah). He is cute in that nerdy gamer way...I don't know what else to describe him as but kinda harsh in the beginning with jokes, that seem rude, but as you get to know him he gets much nicer. (He brings me awesome guava juice when he comes over lol) 

I know one, he just turned 21 but drinks a lot, he is a sweetheart kind of rock style but I dont think he would be your style.. 

Oh! He loves to go out to eat sushi and getting to like curry, he would let you make the decision on where to go...lol. I don't know if he likes movie dates, or even if he has had a date... 

I am open to most styles- except gansta- (if he is a nice guy, and dresses like a gangsta but doesn't try to sound all ghetto rap star, that is fine lol) I am not too picky, I like rocker guys, skater guys, muscular skinny, chubby (not a 400 lb guy please though lol, preppy guys, surfer dudes... country guys (as long as they aren't raciest) That sounds good Kathryn. I need some boy time though lol, I love the ladies on OU, but it is time for me to meet some dudes too (I know honcho, but you are taken :P). I am going to the chiropractor saturday, but I am free after that (appt is at 1, and is supposed to last an hour) if sat is not good then we can set up another time.. of course talk to him first.. my smoking won't be a problem? I have cut back, but I stil smoke alot lol. I am not down for sushi, bu pretty much whatever else, I am game lol.

So...how about Japanese? Um, I guess that would be okay if you know really nice Japanese guy, my only problem with that is I like Okinawa, but I don't want to stay here for the rest of my life, lol. Check out the "singles" ministries in a church of your choice..join in their outings and functions..and who knows..you may find a spark w/ someone. I know there are churches on post as well as off and maybe someone on here can chime in on different ones that may have good singles program ministries. You probably can meet some decent people through one of these and w/ like minds as you. You're young, ENJOY life to it's fullest, accomplish all your goals..and the right person for you will also come along when it's meant to be and it will probably also be at the right time of your life. :) For example, if you still have college to complete, want to save more money, travel..etc..etc..Remember, alot of times, boys don't grow up as fast as girls..so you have to consider that too in establishing any relationships :) Please don't get offended out there Mr. Honcho and all the other men on OU! Oh and if you do decide to join the military..caution in the testosterone that will be flying around~! Be selective in those that you want to get to know. They do have the singles programs (BOSS) in the military and they do alot of fun things and something potential could come out of this as well..Again, I go back to YOU are young..ENJOY life and the right one is going to come your way. Pray for him..:) 

Someone told me about the church things before.. My thing is - I am not really religious- at all..and I don't want a perfect little angel guy that will quote scriptures on our dates lol.. (i know that probably won't happen.. lol) Religion is an uncomfortable subject for me. 

Not everyone who goes to church quotes scriptures on dates... not everyone is Heidi's ex boyfriend Colby from The Hills lol. I think dating someone from the ministries would be good. My husband is extremely religious but he's far from a goody-goody. And he'd never start quoting scriptures to me over a candlelight dinner!

Hi again Jamie, I don't think that when getting involved in a singles ministries program that this is going to quite happen like this..it is just something they offer in church ministries, just as they do married or couples group, womens/mens ministries, youth groups, etc. Alot of times they just plan fun events (outings). No one is committed to each other, everyone is just single (not married) and they get together to fellowship and have a good time. If you possibly have a friend here on OU or someone that attends a church w/ a singles ministry program then they can let you know! 

I don't think that when getting involved in a singles ministries program that this is going to quite happen like this.. Oh I know they don't match-make or anything lol.. but I wouldn't be going to worship. I appreciate the idea though. If it comes to that, I will give it a go.
