I went for Family and Friends Day and I would not go back. Maybe it's just "not for me" but oh well. I go to the Risner for the EFC but this one is over in a week and a half and the next one isn't until September.
The only peole that truly dislike onemoorerep are the lazy ones that can't handle doing what it takes to get in shape.
Uh that's really rude. I've been working out 5-6 days a week since January with the EFC at the Risner. I dislike John and his way of training.
haven't heard good things about them.
actually, John rocks. I have been working out with him for 18 months. I started at the beginning of my pregnancy. My son is now almost 9 months old. I did the aerobics classes throughout my pregnancy and did bootcamp starting when my son was 5 weeks old. I am in advanced bootcamp now.
I have lost every single pregnancy pound that I gained (almost 40 lbs). I am back to a size 4 or 6 (depends on the brand, lol). I am in better shape overall than I was before pregnancy. Within 3 months of having my baby, I was back to running 3-4 miles each tie we ran. Now I'm up to about 5 miles.
My hubby was pretty impressed when he came home from his deployment.
If you stick to the program, you'll get results. It's not easy, I'll admit that. You have to want it, and have to work hard. If you aren't interested in really really getting into shape, the old-fashioned way, it's not for you.
But, I love John.
What is OMR? Where is it? I need to get in shape...but if it's that hard, I may not can hack it.
It's not that hard. You just have to be serious about it. You have to be willing to really work, every single day. To push yourself probably more than you ever have before. It's really an awesome program. SOOOO worth every penny!
Different people work better with different people. I did not like him when I met him and I didn't like his personality or how he trains. I actually got hurt in his class and he kept telling me that I was fine and to keep going and I ended up having to take off work for 3 days because I couldn't walk. I AM out of shape and overweight but I should still be able to walk somewhat the next day. I enjoy my trainer and my class with the EFC. I have not changed my eating habits (which I am slowly working on) and I have lost 10lbs, quite a few inches, have taken 5 minutes off of my run time and added 30+ sit ups/push ups to our timed evaluation. For me, that is improvement.
It's not a competition. People will try OMR and people will try other things and find what fits them best. I, personally, did not like OMR and did not return. Through the EFC, I have found a love for working out and that's what matters to me.
It's true that not everyone will like John.
But he's truly a nice man. No cussing. No yelling. No in your face screaming.
I didn't change my eating habits as much as I should have (eh, don't tell him, lol) and still lost about 40 lbs. Granted, that was pregnancy weight and I was in decent shape pre-pregnancy. But, I have seen some truly amazing transformations of some people in the class.
Where is OMR? And how much does it cost? I need some motivation. Will I look like an idiot if I am totally out of shape surrounded by all you guys who go on a regular basis???
I just completed 1 week and have lost 5 pounds and there are others who have lost more. But those are the people that are really working hard to get to their goal. Im looking forward to finishing his whole 12 weeks, cause I beleive everything he is doing right now, will pay off for me at the end!
and still lost about 40 lbs.
how long did it take you to lose that?
that is my goal!
And I KNOW that if you are TRULY injured in John's class, he WON'T make you continue.
Well you must not know much because I couldn't get up off of the floor and he encouraged me to crawl to the next exercise. And all trainers stress nutrition and eating right but it's up the individual if they choose to follow the advice given. I would rather change my eating on my own than change it for a diet or for the program and then go back to eating my old way and gaining all the weight back that I have lost.
But, like I said, it's not a competition. You have your program and I have mine. I am content with my results and I am not ashamed and find it pretty rude that you would hint that I should be ashamed.
how long did it take you to lose that?
Ok, hubby reminded me that I was about 175ish when I delivered. I was about 155 when I started back at bootcamp. I lost 20 lbs in the 5 weeks before I started...the easy stuff to lose after pregnancy. LOL.
My measurements when I started (this is the same mm measurements John did for you at the beginning of the session)
thigh 47
waist 52
arm 37
That was 10/20/08
At the end of my first session, I was 140 lbs. Meaurements were:
thigh 27
waist 29
arm 25.
I then left to the states and missed my 2nd session. I actually kept losing weight-tried to keep up with the diet.
When I went back on 4/21 I was 135 lbs.
thigh-23
waist-16
arm-20.
So, I lost 40lbs in about 7 months. But, the important part is the INCHES I've lost! I am right this moment wearing a pair of Gap bermuda shorts, size 4. I couldn't button those before bootcamp. Hell, I'm not sure I could get them on, lol. I bought new jeans in the states in Feb...yeah, they're too big. And I bought them tight so they'd fit. Not sure if I'm happy or sad about that. LOL.
You'll get there...just keep working at it. I can only imagine where I'd be right now if I followed the diet to a T. I know I'd ben in amazing shape. Still though, I've done pretty well. And I'm LOVING advanced bootcamp! Some days, it makes bootcamp seem easy! :)
OK...somebody tell me where OMR is and how much it costs! I need to loose quite a few inches. And, will I look like an idiot my first few times in class??? I hate being the "newbie".

It's on 330, after the 330/24 intersection-shortly after a Pachinko place. (If you are headed TOWARDS gate 2 street, it'll be on your left)
He just started the session last week..if you hurry, you can probably get a slot.
It's $500 for 12 weeks.
And no, you won't look like an idiot. Everyone will be struggling and paying attention to themselves only. trust me. You need every bit of energy/concentration focused on yourself. :)
Ok, no more poking back and forth at each other...play nice! :)
Wow...for $500, I'd expect results!!! Is it every day? Do they have classes in the evening?
You'll get results, IF YOU WANT THEM!!! That is the key.
It's M-F. You must attend each daily session. He runs sessions at 4am, 5am, 930am and 6pm. (So you have no excuse for missing a day! LOL. But if it's legit, it's ok-like I missed a day for my son's ear-tube surgery.)
Each session is an hour. M/T/R are in studio. W/F are running days. You are also required to do 5 cardio sessions weekly on your own and attend one of his cardio classes weekly.
And you must keep a journal. Your journal becomes your bible. You write down everything you eat, times, portions, your exercise, how you feel, etc.
depends on how sick.
a cold? you show up and do your best.
puking everywhere? stay home and puke in privacy. :)
I was sick (cough/cold) for about 8 of my 12 weeks. It SUCKED! I only stayed home though for about 3 of those days...a few days when I was running a fever.
Basically, if you aren't dying, and aren't highly contagious with something horrible, you need to be there.
Sounds like it forces you to be motivated to stay focused. Proabably just what I need. He won't do another rotation for another 12 weeks??? I'm going home for 3 weeks, so I can't do this session.
THanks for all the different opinions! I am really thinking about doing, is anyones child in their childcare? I have 3 kids so I need it. They are older, almost 4,5, and 7 so I am not neccesarily as worried as I would be with lets say an infant or 1 year old. Anyone want to take me????
