Well we are new to the military and new to this base housing thing.. but something seems terribly wrong here.. I see a lot of overweight military wives with a truckload of misbehaved kids at the base supermarket. Also, mothers that look 19 or 20, OMG! I didn't knew the military was like this. Today I saw a back patio that looked like a Turkish Bazaar but full of JUNK! I see kids bikes everywhere, people drinking outside.. I wish my husband would fly me away on his fighter jet the heck out of here, lol! Who feels the same way, or similary?  

This has to be a goof. Right? You know we always talk about this.

Who are you to judge people by their size? really, there are a lot of people out there that has thyroid problems that can't help being over weight. Not just military is overweight it all over sweet heart. You should have opened your eyes a long time ago.Yes the military has young people in it, but some can be very grown up. Its better they went military then living off of the good old USA with food stamps, and government housing. So before you open your trap about people realize those people are doing the best they can... You never know what its like until you live a day in their life.. Get over yourself, you self absorbed jerk. Oh yeah AMC flights are every friday feel welcomed to get on one and leave this island.

I agree, Annmarie. What does it matter if there are overweight military wives? There are overweight people all over, including in the military! How does it effect you? It doesn't. That's a pretty rude statement.

Well some do have that as an excuse, some don't.. Some can say i have four kids and no energy.. i've heard it all too.. i'm not perfect by no means..Who the heck is she to judge people due to weight? Really, this is the same person asking for help with the computer last night.. please sit down crack open a freaking book and help your child with his/her homework..Good Grief..

i'm not saying wic, i'm saying those in regular life that has daddy mama's don't have a job, with 9 kids.. Living off of the states money.. We don't live in section 8 housing either.. yes i know we live in government housing... Just not welfare housing.. i have nothing against it or anything.. Or younger military, we all where there at one time, 19 and new to military life.. this lady should have never judge people due to size nor age... 

Oh and please dont get me started on them freaking officers .. dang Chickens in Flight suits... They peck and peck till they get what they want.. Everytime they walk in the room I sing..

If you are new to the island...THIS is no way to make friends by coming on here saying everyone is fat , has a ton of kids that are misbehaved and also don't advertise exactly what your husband does...Not cool!

She shouldn't judge. But there is an overwhelming number of very young moms in the military. The "general" population does not get married at 18 an have a kid by 19. That's more the exception, where in the military, it's often more common. So, I can see her point there. 

And where is this "supermarket?" 

yes i know we live in government housing But our husbands/wives/ourselves work for this housing. So yes, it's government housing but it's worked for...makes up for our crappy pay :-P (I'm not trying to argue, just agree and point out that it's not like food stamps and stuff...plus most qualify for WIC because the military pay is low).

When I lived in Alabama, I saw more overweight people there than here Same for us in NC. Damn fried food.

yeah we had wic when my son was little bitty, nothing against it.. she just pushed my buttons,and i just let it all out. once again no prof reading is a bad thing on my part. my brain says one thing my hands type another.. There has to be a medication for that lol...
