I had mine removed in Dec of 07.
They did put me to sleep.
I got a very bad infection on the left side of my face, and when I would lay down it would spread up to my eye. I had to sleep sitting up for a week, or I could have went blind.
The infection I got was not from a dry socket. It was from unsanitary conditions at the dentist office that my mom suggested. Needless to say, she dosnt send people there anymore...
It was the worst experiance ever!
I had them removed 25 years ago. I remember they put me to sleep. Didn't get dry socket.
Had mine removed nine years ago. Sleep - yes. Dry sockets - no.
I didn't even sleep, amazingly, I wasn't tired after the meds they put in my iv. I mean AFTER I left the hospital atleast... I told my dentist he was fired while I was all loopy though and kept taking out my gauze and making the nurses mad haha.

My mom gave me a xanax for before my appt. I took it on the way to the Doctors office, then I had two left for after. I dont even remember my husband helping out of the car, and into the office. I also cant remember how I got home, and up the stairs into my bed.
Xanax effing ROCK.
Last warning!!
Blah blah blah... I'm ♥ Cunnilingus and everything needs to be about me...
Wahhhhhhhhhh Wahhhhhhh!
LOL =) I keed, I keed!
Are you gonna lock it now?
Well then in all seriousness, he pushed me into a wall once, he doesn't abuse me (I mean seriously, I'm bigger then him I could hold my own if need be) and were not getting a divorce sooooo I have time to get it out, if I need to, which I prob will, lol.
Oh and I think that if the things you say were true I'd prob take them completely different and get all defensive lol. That's how you know it's true haha.
I got mine taken out in early December of last year. I had to have them for my dental clearance, because they were impacted. I was put to sleep, and STILL had massive amounts of pain. No dry socket, just terrible pain.
Ugh I'm so afraid of that surgery (gal bladder removal) both parents had it.
I had mine removed last year, it was infected, I felt so great afterwards to have that gone. ugh.
um...do your wisdom teeth still hurt? lol. I got mine removed right before we came here. It took awhile to find someone who would do it with just novicaine, but it went well...and now we're here. And it was cheaper that way. ...
I had my gall bladder out in Aug three weeks before we came here.. It was an emergency surgery due to gall stones... any way not to bad three little incisions.
The only one that hurt was above my belly button. I felt a ton better after the surgery. no more pain from the gall bladder.
You get Dry socket due to your body not clotting correctly, either you didn't fallow after care instructions, or pack it very well.. Most oral surgeons will put in twilight sleep, not completely out. Some will even just numb you up and take them out. They do not like to do all four at once if they do the numbing only, to do not be able to feel your tongue. Or to swallow.. They do most the time right side then come back in two weeks do the left side. If they do twilight sleep they do not have to numb you, and you can have all done at once...
Good luck with your healing process,
