When my husband had to come back to Oki on a whim for E-leave back to the states, he was TDY. He had money from Malaysia (I believe it is called Ringit or something like that)..Well, I was cleaning and came across it. If I am correct, there is probably a good $100, maybe more. Does anyone know where they would exchange this?

They usually have money exchanges at the airports..

Currency exchange places might change it too. Or banks off-base.

They usually have money exchanges at the airports.. We tried in Naha and Tokyo and both wouldnt take it..Crazy cause they would take everything under the sun. Except ringet..

Currency exchange places might change it too. Or banks off-base. I have yet to even consider these options..I might have to try it out.

You would think you could do it on a base, considering ALL the places the troops go.
