I do understand a few signs, but I don't plan on using it in a negative manner. I have a real desire to learn more and possibly enroll in an interpreter college when I move back to the states. 

I signed that to someone once. A teacher. They understood. How would they not understand that? 

Just go to the book store and see if they have 'The Joys of Sign Language' book. I use to have it so and we had it when I was little so we could communicate with my deaf cousin... I learned everything I know from it. 

Just go to the book store I've seen hundred of copies of that book at the BX.

Yes. That particular book is american sign language.
