Cruelty? Why is he not being criminally charged?

Gah. I hate fish but that's pretty horrible. What an as$. He should be charged with something! 

It said in the article that it's a catch and release thing. If they end up dying, they donate the meat or whatever but that's not the intention. 

Technically he may've stuffed the weights down there after they died, so unless someone has eye witness verification that he did it while they were alive, they can't charge him with animal cruelty.

If they were alive when he did it, there's a good chance that the state he did it in would consider it a crime. But to hell if I'm looking up f*cking -laws- for a blip on the internets.

i like chickens, but i still eat them.

i like fish, i have a pet goldfish. but i still eat the other, tastier varieties. i just think it's a little sad that the fish had to suffer before dieing. at least they don't go to waste. i'm guessing shoving that minipen sized lead weight with a hook attached down their throats is what did them in.
