Hi, I was just wondering if anybody had an information on preschools near Courtney or McT that accepts 2 year olds. I have checked out Little Rhinos and wasn't very impressed (although I know it's in the process of getting new owners, so maybe they'll fix it up some) and I have emailed twice to "Just for Me Preschool" and have not gotten a response. I only want a part time program with 2 MAYBE 3 days a week. I don't think I can do a Japnese style preschool because my daughter is by far the pickiest eater and won't eat their meals. However, if you know of any that would let me bring her lunch, please let me know. Any information on preschools like prices, times, curriculum offered and personal experiences would be really great. Thanks in advance!

I would be willing to drive a little bit if the place was really great, so any experiences with ones near Kadena and those bases are appreciated as well.

I looked at and liked Cherry Blossoms. It is closer to Camp Foster. You can bring your own food. I have a 4yr old. For him it would be 50000yen a month, but to get him started there was yearly fees that came up to about 1100,000yen. They showed me work an the pre-schoolers there are reading an doing writen math problems. I was showed letters from parents an schools in the states that the children were a head when returning to the states.
My son can not start DODS because of his birthday, so we were looking to put him in school off base.
I also checked out Santa Monica. They also let you bring your own food. They are 40000yen a month and starter fees are about 80000yen. I just didn't get the warm an fuzzys from them.
If you'd like directions to either let me know.

Santa Monica does not have the best track record- my friend just had an incident where her son came home with nail marks and a bruise on his arm because he couldn't find his shoes.

My babies 3 and 2 go to weecare both like, my 2 yr old says all the time she loves her teachers, no complains.

I had similar issues at Santa Monica, so I would not recommend it. I loved Wee Care though.

Your f*cking two year old doesn't need pre-school, it needs toilet training and time with mom and dad. And you know, trained to eat normal food.

what in the world was I thinking wanting to get her a little socialization in her life and myself a dedicated time to designate for my many appointments that will be coming up?! Man, I must suck as a mom. FML

I haven't read the best reviews about Santa Monica either so that one is definitely out of the question.
Where is WeeCare?

Sounds like you should have never had children.

kids get socialized without knowing it. i let my kid hang out with kids since they all started crawling. human interaction... just like dogs need to be around people and other dogs.. .kids need to be around people and other kids.

Wee Care is on 23, right across the street from that place that everyone loves to do their nails ( Cocok.. I think is the name of the nail place).
From Kadena gate one, turn left.. keep yourself on the left lane as you going uo on 23 ( right at the light).. keep going straight , you will pass CURVES and will be about half block on your left side.

I am not good with directions, but someone else maybe able to directed you better.

Oh I meant to say , when choosing a daycare out in town be open mind, the rooms will not as full of colors as the ones back home, nor as be as many toys.. but my kids love it, and they been learning a lot.. the kids that are 3, 4 and 5 also now are being taken for swimming lessons
