I was wondering if you can use iHeartRadio there? How about Pandora?

I was looking at upgrading to Pandora One, since its like 36$ a year.

you can't use pandora here? i use the free version of it on my ipod when i have a wifi connection. 

I've also used the free version of Pandora here. I was using my wifi on base though, so I don't know if that would make a difference.

I vary between the two :3. I use IHR to listen to Island 98.5 from HI and Pandora for Classical/Christmas/Dubstep/Solo Piano/Skrillex and other random music LOL. 

I usually listened through my cellphone when I was there. Everytime I tried downloading pandora it would tell me it wouldn't work due to area restrictions... something like that.
But maybe that's because my cellphone sucked. ;P 

So with Iheartradio, is it music i've downloaded I get to listen to or is it a radio station? i'm so confused, and how does it all work if i'm not logged into iTunes? 

I keep hearing all this stuff about iheartradio and I still don't know what it is. I suppose I could google it but I haven't really been keeping up with music lately because all I hear is garbage. Well...with the exception of a few songs but I still would rather listen to older stuff. 

Iheartradio lets you listen to radio stations here in the states like Kiss FM and the likes :3, even radio stations from San Diego, that is if the radio station has their own streaming station.

Totally different question from the smartphones, but does anyone have or use Hulu on their home PC there? We have Netflix, and from what I understand, Netflix doesn't stream anywhere in Japan :/. And Dh expressed television there sucks LOL. 

Some people used Hulu and Netflix streaming just fine. With Netflix I think you have to hide your IP address. Hulu wouldn't work for me and we never used the streaming. 

I use Hulu to watch shows that either don't air here or that are a season behind. 

my hulu works fine on kadena with mediatti. hulu put in an IP address allow for the base. if yours doesn't work on base, email hulu with the link provided in the video window. it will say something like "sorry, streaming not allowed in that country or area. if you think this is an error, contact us here"

Netflix will stream if you have a program that randomizes or blocks your IP address. i used hot spot shield.
