I had a woman who is the owner and operator of a daycare my children used to attend, do my taxes and now a year later back in the states we have been audited by the IRS, and owe almost 7 grand. the best part is when I contacted her about it she blames claims I told her to do it incorrectly, and that I withheld my tax information from her. THIS PERSON HAS NO BUSINESS DOING TAXES, AS SHE IS NOT QUALIFIED YET CLAIMS TO BE! I have reported her to the IRS, but am trying to get the word out as it has come to my attention that she is advertising herself. If you would like details feel free to contact me. 

She has no business doing taxes nor is she qualified, yet YOU had her do your taxes? Sounds like Darwin claimed yet another rightful victim... 

doD rM: Man, I bet you were up all night working on that one huh? If I would have known she was not qualified then she wouldn't have done my taxes. The point is I was scammed, and I recently found out I was not the only one. I am trying to prevent others from the grief I am going through. If you don't want the advice then kindly take yourself out of the conversation. 

If only common sense were common.... Why would anyone even consider handing over their taxes to a home day care provider without doing any research or verifying credentials? As far as I'm concerned, you got what you deserved. That would be like handing your kid over to some random stranger because they told you they knew how to babysit...

Should have , but they did not, so be it. Now is nice of her to come back here and try to prevent others from making the same mistakes.. it is stupid but some people still naive enough to trust others 

Either do them yourself or use the tax center.

If you must pay someone, hire a professional! Enjoy your audit! 

btw...very few "professionals" are working out of their home and running a day care on the side.
