We went to Obligatos 2night and it was really good, almost as good as Mikes Taco which is my fav. I was wondering where are some good places to eat in your opinions? We have been to Four seasons, Jacks Place, and Sams. I have heard horror stories about Erin Kerin (oops not sure how to spell it). Has anyone been to that Hamburger Steak place?? It looks really neat from the outside.
Arin Krin..is SOOO good. I've been there at least 10 times and LOVE it everytime I go. I also suggest Marino's...love it!
Yoshihatchi is good if you like sushi.
Gordie's hamburgers is very good.
Capital is good, but I think Sam's Anchor Inn is better.
I've heard the barrel restaurant out Gate 2 is very good.
if you go to okinawahai.com you can find tons of diff. restaurants.
As far as Hamburger Steak goes, I know people that absolutely LOVE it, however I'm not too keen on it. The "hamburger steak" itself is kind of like greasy meatloaf (I'm not a fan of meatloaf). They do have some other meats on the menu that are good though.
Tonneau is good. Also known as the barrel.
Marinos is good if you like family style dining.
MOS burger is good but it's expensive and the burgers/fries are smaller portions.
I loved Cowdy, but that's gone now.
King Taco has the besssssssssssst taco rice ever.
Casa taco is great and also the Thai place right next it (I forget the name) is wonderful!
I love Arin Krin and have never had any problems there. Also I love "Sauce" across from the San A, near Araha Beach. So yummy, but definitely more for adults and not young children (those that need a high chair because they dont have any there)
Love Tan Tan Ramen noodles on 58 next to the suzuki dealership by ringer hut.
Great noodle bowls, gyoza, and the kids love the curry there! And they have now made it non-smoking, so it is family friendly!! Be careful though because we order the non-spicy noodles and it is comfortable warm, but even the mild will clean out your sinuses!! We just enjoyed the chinese restaurant inside the Jusco mall on down off I think it is 81 or 33. It is the restaurant as you walk in with the blue seal on the right and the chines restaurant on the left. Great noodles and gyoza!
My favorite place on island is Arin Krin. We're always taking friends there. The drive sucks & so does making a reservation but I'm not a fan of most stuff "Okinawan" so it's not a far jump from what I'm used to in America.
I also love Marino's. Oh & Jakkepoes.
I hated Tonneau (or however you spell it? The barrel restaurant)
We tried Jai Thai tonight & weren't impressed but I love Khrua Thai up here by Courtney, so yummy.
If anyone has any more suggestions for more American/Italian/Tex-Mex type restaurants I'd love to hear them!
Its a place where you order your meat raw and you cook it in front of you on a small grill like thing ... it has an adjustable flame... LOL. But it is an all you can eat buffet...
