Hi. I have not heard of Troy til I got here? Is it a good/reputable university? I'm planning of pursuing my graduate studies, and it seems there are only 2 universities (Phoenix and Troy) that offer face-to-face classes here. Would appreciate any advice or tips. Thanks
Look at their website and see if they have any stats on employment of their graduates. Also, search for the school on Google. If a company has never heard of a school, they will likely research it and you want to get an idea of what they will find.
Speaking of schools again. I was looking into Getting my Masters Degree, heres the thing I have a Bachelors in Dental Hygiene. The only thing Masters program offered that I'm interested in would be a Masters in Phycology. Can I go to school to get my masters in it, with my Bachelors in Dental Hygiene. My husband says NO because i should have a Bachelors in Phycology first. I'm confused.
**dependopotamus** - I think it depends on the school you are trying to get into. Each school will have different requirements for admission. Some will require a Bachelors in Psychology, but some will just require a certain amount of credits in the field. Check with the school you are trying to get into.
What exactly are you wanting to do with the degree? There are many subfields in Psychology. Depending on what you want to do, you may need to get a Doctorate after the Masters.
I have my minor in Psychology so I have also been looking into it as well. I'm still undecided.
Do tell, What is her masters in?
I don't want to go to the UOP, Penn State is awesome,
I just don't know what to do... There's not a lot to offer as in degrees on line you know. hummm....
Disregard. She took it when she was in the states.
I just didn't know if i could use my Bachelors to get my masters in something else. If not i'm stuck until we go back to the states so i can apply for dental school which i would need either a bachelors or a masters in something.. ugh...
Not knocking your degree.
Not taking it as knocking... I had planned to carry on to Dental school, life happens things get in the way...
I just didn't want to sit around and twiddle my thumbs while here in okinawa. My brain needs school... So i thought i would apply for school, and thought humm have Bachelors why not get my Masters.. Thats all... hummm
Spicy Weiner- It depends on what other classes she took. If she took enough psychology classes as an undergrad, she can get into grad school for psychology. Your bachelor's and master's don't necessarily need to go together.
