What do you like? There is a little seafood place outside Torii that we liked. As far as exploring we like to just drive and stop at wherever looks interesting, and has no Y plates in the parking lot.
Not sure where you live but there is this Awesome cafe off the 37. Strange location but modern interior, wifi and several huge windows that overlooks the ocean. Coming from McT take a right at the gate and follow it down until you see the sign for the 37. Turn left and follow down until you see a huge orange and white building on your right. Park and go upstairs. They speak no english but the soup/salad lunch with your choice of chicken/fish/beef was delish. Nice swanky place with soft jazz music playing in the background. Romantic, quiet time with or without the hubby. But I wouldn't recommend taking the kids. It's our new spot!
mickeys, on BC street. good food, really cheap, nice ladies who run it, and they have just about any type of food you may want. unlimited hot green tea and water, self serve. Y100=$1 exchange too.
there are quite a few things you could eat there. despite it being "the garlic house."
i like the cheesy fried mashed potatoes. i think you'd like the garlic pizza actually. it's just a thin crusty tortilla like pizza with cheese and herbs. yummy.
there's broccoli beef too. and chicken dishes, noodles, etc.
thanks a lot everyone. we will have to try some of these places. yesterday we just drove around looking for something to do or somewhere to eat, we ended up going in a circle. think we might check out a castle this afternoon.
lmao...okinawahai has been super spammed today.
What does that matter?
pizzeria Il Piccolino.
Is that the new pizza place by the seawall
No. That's Bella Napoli. Piccolino is up in Onna Village.
My absolute favorite place so far is the ramen bar inside American Village, in the back where the bowling alley is. MMMMM.
Also, Toride near Courtney is pretty good/affordable.

we went there the other night. so good we plan on going back soon and trying a different kind. their dumplings aren't the best tho.

I wouldn't recommend here really. I went once and it was hard to find, plus a long drive, plus the campground part smelled bad. I was a little scared, but the people were nice and they let me chop wood with a hatchet and the young man took me on a tour of the place.
There's a nice restaurant next to the primo's kitchen in yomitan right after the ramen restaurant.
and
The soba house on 23 has great soba and other local dishes but only takes yen, it's right next to the gas station once you pass the payless motors car lot.

It's definitely hard to find but the pizza was yummy and the view was awesome.

And thin slices of garlic.
There is garlic on garlic pizza? Liar.
