As to why people ... spend so much money on furniture and only keep it for a few months. I see these ads ALL time time saying how much it cost/how "new" it is, and that they are selling it because they have furniture in the states.

Or my favorite is when they are selling furniture thats a couple months old because they found something they like better.

In my opinion, if you're going to spend that much on something, it should be what you want and what you're gonna KEEP until it is worn out.

KITTENS --- 14 years ago -

'Cuz people are stupid.

Bryn~ --- 14 years ago -

i think someone should as her if she's selling the rug.

Because people are idiots and spend crazy...rather than save, they have to play "keep up with the Joneses" and try to out-do their family and friends.

Which is ludicrous, but true.

Nicole --- 14 years ago -

I prefer to play "keep up with the Smiths." It's more interesting. :D

Kevin --- 14 years ago -

I'm pretty sure that couch won't fit in all base housing.

dependopotamus --- 14 years ago -

I know it won't fit in mine thats for sure....

By the way did you see she wanted $50.00 for red shoes.. UGH so stupid
I can go on EBAY and find them much much cheaper.

Kevin --- 14 years ago -

I know it would fit in mine.

Loved living in Oki --- 14 years ago -

It would fit in mine if we either wanted to climb over it to get to the bedrooms or go out the back door, around the house and in the front door.

dependopotamus --- 14 years ago -

That sectional would take up my whole living room, and we would be sitting on top of the stupid TV....

Casey --- 14 years ago -

Not at all, she may be joking, but some aren't...I can't believe I have to deal with subordinates stationed here that are in financial dire straits...it's ridiculous...throwing away their and their children's well-being and future on fancy handbags and LCD TVs...damn fools.

Hey now... I don't do purses, but I have 2 46" plasma TVS, brand new couches, brand new kitchen table... oh but wait... I also have $8,000 in savings, and don't have any problems paying for my child's diapers, clothing, and food.
Did I mention we only have one income, and bills back in the states?

GOSH, I must be doing something wrong...

Kevin --- 14 years ago -

I also have $8,000 in savings

insert fart sound here...$8k...that's nothing...

Andrea --- 14 years ago -

I'm 22.... It's not bad. Especially considering I don't personally know anyone my age, or even twice my age who has half of that in savings.

Kevin --- 14 years ago -

I'm 22.... It's not bad.

True; but I mean nothing as in; it wouldn't take much to wipe that out. Keep saving. Pay your debts then maintain living debt free; great feeling!

my last name is jones. most people here know that, apparently you did not catch on.

and actually, i have no debt right now. and a decent savings. not that it's really any of your mind whether someone else has debt or not.

Illbehave --- 14 years ago -

I'm glad people do that. I'm even more glad when they sell it at half or more off. It saves people money.

That is a damn sexy couch too.

Kevin --- 14 years ago -

my last name is jones.

Sorry, not on a last name basis with anybody on here except you...now that you pointed it out.
