... is reading the comments posted on the Okinawa Hai website today about its restaurant. It sounds like they need to make some changes.
Has anyone been to there yet and had a good experience? How was the food? The author of the article made it sound very good, but the comments say otherwise.
from Kulp --- "I'd love a place like this that is awesome...."
Though I have not been there, Jakkepoes in Yomitan Village is supposedly such a place. Many Americans rave about their food, and it is written about on many Japanese blogs, nearly all with good comments. It has also been on Japanese TV shows a few times, with video clips of many Americans crowding the restaurant, devouring the pancakes.
Has anyone tried Climax Coffee across from the San A by Araha beach. They have pretty decent pancakes. The kids enjoy the berry pancakes. However they do load them up with heavy whipcream.
I haven't tried the O'Club. My understanding is it's the same as the Rocker with a few extra things, but I'm not really interested in the extra things.
I heard the O club has all you can eat crab legs and mimosas. Maybe I'll try it since I'm going to practically live in walking distance.
The restaurant name used in the OkinawaHai article is OHOP, but the real name of the place is OHOP's (with the s), it is even in the photos that the author took of the sign on the building. Why would the OkiHai author drop the obvious apostrophe and letter s?
OHOPs shows up on a few Japanese blogs, but not OHOP. Those blogs said the food looked cute but no raves.
If you Google search OHOP you get some interesting results: the Orlando House of Prayer, Orange House of Pizza (in Mass.) and many towns and businesses named after the Ohop Indian tribe.
The latest comment indicated OHOP's has reduced their open hours, probably to accommodate most of their likely customers, Marines from Camp Hansen that dont have a car and wander out the gate looking for anything to eat.
A few days ago it was OHOP's that took a beating in the comments on OkinawaHai website, and now it is Chili's on Kadena Air Base. It has been discussed previously (but it has been awhile) on OU, so what are some current comments about Chilis?
