where are the best beaches 

For sitting on the sand?

For swimming?

I lived in NC... so Myrtle was always nice. Galveston TX was the other place I lived... Water was nasty but the pocket beaches were nice. I will always miss being able to jump in the Ocean night or day and be able to play... Nobody told me the first time I went to Daytona that after the sun went down the water was cold as hell... My balls went so far in I... you know I sat here and wrote like 4 different things and everyone of them could be turned into some kind of gay joke so i'll just leave it at that... I'm ready to hit the beaches too... Should have my car friday or Saturday and my silver card tomorrow. w00t. 

Okinawa is awesome as are the beaches. Most any of them are good for everything mentioned except for cooking out. In the summer the water close to shore gets pretty warm so it's nice for skinny dipping. So I've heard. 

Ehh, Okinawa is awesome for the 1st year.

After that, unless you have sat in your house every weekend, you have already done everything there is to do on this island worth doing.

The beaches are cool, but I'd much rather sit at beaches in the U.S., and not have to be stuck on a damn island....

The water surrounding Okinawa is beautiful. Being from the panhandle, I can say the water here is a lot prettier. For sure! Sand, not so much. ;)

I like Kadena Marina for swimming. My husband use to like snorkeling by the sea wall. Not so sure you can do that right now. Drinking? I don't know because I am usually at the beach with my kid. 

I do believe there are grills in the pavilions at Kadena Marina. However, I think you have to rent them? Correct me if I am wrong.

I like Torii beach, too. It is easy for me to find sea glass. 

I like going to toguchi(spelling???) beach when the tide is out. I have found some pretty cool shells there.

The water in Destin can compare, but you are right about the sand. I miss out sugar white sand that squeaks under your feet :) Oh happiness! 

i like araha and sunset beach. 

From that area, not as clear as here.Well I am not from Destin, but Panama City is pretty darn close. 

Yeah, I am always surprised at how different the beaches all over Florida are. Even on the Gulf side beaches in Pensacola are different from Panama City are different from Tampa. I just love the beach, but nothing compares to North West Florida. I'll take almost whatever I can get though, as long as I still get to be a beach bum :) 

i liked cocoa beach down near orlando... but i destin and panama city seemed pretty much the same to me. i really did like destin though... when it wasn't tourist season that is. 

You can do all of the above in Okuma :-)

That's simply a matter of opinion. I never ran out of things to do or see here. And I was out and about all the time and most definitely not sitting at home every weekend. 

I know, as most of what I say is my opinion.

This is my 2nd time being here, and for me it has gotten old each time, after the 1st year.

Great place to visit, horrible place to live. But, that's just my opinion....
