I wouldn't announce that. I got a message in regards to me missing Oki and as to why I shouldn't even be on this forum. 

I miss Okinawa but not the weather. 

I miss rain. Haven't seen it in a year. 

I don't miss Okinawa (yet). 

I miss Coco's the most. Well just at the moment. 

After being overseas and then going back stateside, I miss on base events. I pretty much went to every club event on Kadena and there was a good group of people that went. There were fun events and they even had kid events.
I went to one of the club events here and I felt out of place. Everyone was over 60 and they served beets on the buffet. I had to check and see if there was an age limit because we were seriously the youngest people there. They didn't have a DJ, they had an old guy playing the keyboard. It was awful!

Their ladies night only last till 9.

I miss my favorite bars.

I can tell you that Eglin's wives are even mire dramatic than Okinawa. I didnt think it could be done.

I honestly never thought Okinawa was that bad compared to the base prior which was Hulburt field/Eglin..lol.

The wives here at Kirtland aren't horrible, they are just young. There is no middle ground here. Either too young or too old.

We are actually hoping to return to Hurlburt if we aren't stuck here forever. 

Well that is because everyone gets divorced after a few years. ;) 

I miss the beaches and food. People, of course. I haven't attempted to do anything with the wives here. We have been seeing friends we met in Oki so I haven't felt the need to meet anyone. Besides, the friends I already have can't be topped! We went out for the first time last weekend and had a good time. The biker gang members make me a little nervous... LOL 

yea... the rocker on hurlburt was NOT exciting. i just want OFF this stinking island. most of the good people have left me here. most.. not all.. but still.
