Insidious (sp??)?? Just wondering what you thought of the movie. 

Yes, I really loved it!

It kept me on my toes the whole time-

Watch it!!!!

Even if you don't care for it totally- you'll get a good scare! 

So I shouldn't watch it by myself???? LOL :-) Because I am.... 

Is that the one with the house and the boy? If so, yes it was good and I remember my hubby asking me to go downstairs to get him a drink afterwards and I was like hell no, I'm scared, but I'm a wimp like that! 

LOL. Yeah that is the one. I am just getting to the part where they moved to the new house.... Kinda freaky so far.. But I am also a wimp like that...LOL :-) 

I thought it started off being a good movie but by the end I thought it looked like a lame costume party :| pretty disappointing 

Ok movie, not scary, the end come as a surprise and kept me wake for one night 

I have not seen this movie "Insidious" so I started reading the plot synopsis online.
It appears that this movie is not a comedy.
I was getting creeped out just reading about it.

Will there be pleasant dreams for you tonight Mrs. Boss? 

LOL sToO I don't normally have nightmares but we will see....especially if the hubby ends up getting called into work tonight :-( 

OK. As crazy beans said..started off as a good kinda scary movie....but the end was very stupid and makes absolutely no sense at all. Completely ruined the movie. :-( 

I didn't think it was scary at all. Kind of cheesy, really. And the "demon" looks like Darth Maul from Star Wars. 

So after reading thru the comments here I now know that this movie Insidious should not be on my list of "must see" films.

However, LILO, what is this Star Wars movie you speak of? A character named Darth Maul sounds scary.
Then again, there perhaps are some screen names on Underground sites which are 'scary' and invoke fear and nightmares for some people too.

My husband noticed it so I googled him. DM and the guy from Insidious could be brothers. 

There are many supposedly SCARY movies that end up with silly or confusing plots, leaving most viewers laughing at the nightmarish plot and poor acting.

I remember the big buzz about The Blair Witch Project movie. When it finally got to the base theaters in Okinawa there were lines of people wanting to see it after weeks of the media hyping it back in USA.

The theaters were packed with people who had eagerly awaited this thrilling and ultra-scary movie. However, before the end of the film people were walking out and many of those remaining were laughing and yelling about how stupid the movie was.

One of my friends turned to our group and said "This is really is a very dumb and crappy movie; what happened to the scary parts everyone in USA raved about? Do you think maybe AAFES edited the movie? Or maybe they got the wrong film?"

Anyone else know of a "scary" movie which turned out to make them laugh more than jump in fear? 

"Boogeyman" is the only one I can think of. I know there's more. 

My biggest thing about the movie was that the demon or demons were messing with a baby. I don't like when they do that like that other movie (Paranormal Activity 2 maybe) where the camera was set up in the baby's room. Babies should be off limits in scary movies. The one movie that has always scared me and I don't know why is Halloween. I DO NOT like Michael Myers at all. I remember going to see one of them at the movie theater and getting up to go get popcorn or something and some crazy dude was sitting in the audience wearing the mask, coveralls everything and it was super creepy. I sat right back down and refused to walk past him. He stayed in character the whole time and walked out of the movie theater alone, not speaking to anyone and went out to his car and drove away. Creepy!! 

Babies should be off limits in scary movies.

Really? It's a movie, as in, not real. Nothing should be off limits. That's part of the "scary".

You are right it is, but I am always like, "oh no not the baby" as I pull the covers up around me. As previously stated I'm a wimp about scary movies. 

I do that when it comes to the pets. 

I don't watch scary movies. I tend to end up sleeping with a bat.

Prom Night freaked me out.

Yeah and if I remember correctly the Paranormal Activity movie had a dog in the room with the baby and it was getting messed with too. Other than those 2 movies I don't remember many that mess with babies and animals, just dumb girls that always go outside and always fall in the woods LOL! 

The one movie that REALLY scared me even as an adult was called "Darkness Falls". I don't know what it was about that movie but it gave me the creeps. 

I really haven't seen a good scary movie in awhile.
