yeah yeah we have it hear also.
I don't live under a rock. I know that we have it HERE. I just thought it was crazy that they had so many in such a short amount of time.
half my hometowns high school football team is out with it
That's crazy. I hadn't heard anything about it for awhile. Clearly it's still making it's rounds.
I know it's on Kadena as well. Someone in my husbands shop had it awhile back.
Also, I read somewhere a few days ago, that the second out break is likely to be less deadly, but lots more people, and to expect it SOON...I guess soon is now.
half of the people in my husbands battery at work have it. Like 20 something people... they work right by a pig farm and EVERYONE is getting it! but its just like any other flue...
Yeah but all kidding aside, it can be very serious! So there is reason to be a bit concerned. Just take precautions the best you can and keep your hands washed.
It is kind of funny that people laugh about it...until it's their child, husband, wife, loved one or self that gets sick with it.
Then I bet there is a brief moment when the people laughing gets that little "uneasy" nervous feeling. JMO.
good luck finding any hand sanitizers..lol every place is sold out
i have 3 bottles of sanitizer. i always carry it in the car or purse. $1,000,000 please.
I talked to my doc about it at my last appointment. I was concerned about going back to the states b/c I have two higher risk things to worry about (pregnancy and asthma) She said not to worry about it. She said, just to take normal precautions in not getting sick and if I do, to go in. Have to admit that I am quite nervous though.... I hope they come out with the vaccine soon.
I know we have it here, I'm just worried about being in such close contact with people on the planes, in the airports and at Disney.
Jennifer I am worried too! I am leaving here the middle of October and going to El Paso Texas... basically mexico. I am pregnant and I have asthma too. I am just gonna bring hand sanitizer and hope for the best!

Good luck!! I'm trying to leave at the beginning of October.... I will have a mask on and all that jazz, though I doubt it will be so easy to keep them on my kids! lmao... it's really bad in my hometown right now, but I just HAVE to get off this island for a while! haha... I say, so long as my doc wasn't so worried, I shouldn't be either. Makes me feel a little better ;)
Yeah, just thought I'd add that PLEASE parents, have some common sense and don't send your kids to school or daycare if they have a fever or have flu symptoms! Seriously, the healthy kids don't need to be picking up something b/c someone else's parents make a bad judgment call. Also, PLEASE make sure you're kids are using proper hand washing techniques. I really cannot afford to have all 4 of mine sick and I'm sure no one else wants their kids sick either. Thanks :)

i couldnt agree with you more. you wouldnt believe how many parents will dope their kids up on tylenol and them send them to the daycares.

I know! That just boggles my mind! I mean, not only should your sick kid be home with you so they don't get anyone else sick, but don't they think they should also be at home comforting their sick child?
But of course if you do go to the Dr., please drive with your flashers on and drive really fast and honk your horn a lot so that people know it's an emergency.
Okay, I don't think that is necessary. Obviously. BUT, all I am saying is have some common sense for the sake of other people's kids. I don't need or want mine sick just b/c some other parent is too dumb to keep their child at home when they are ill.
its funny how many excuses you will hear about it at the centers... there was a sick child and the parents said they didnt have time to take the kid to the doctor..its free

How ridiculous! Yeah, it's free healthcare and also most people that are in the military (unless they are a single parent) should be able to have one of the spouses get time off to take care of their sick child until they are better. C'mon. If you can't take off work a couple of days for your sick child, then you probably shouldn't have even had kids! JMO.
I just need to know how they can tell the difference between if you have the "regular flu" or the "swine flu"? are the symptoms that much different?
No the symptoms are not all that different...although they are saying diarreah is being seen with the Swine flu

There is a test for it. Like M said, the swine flu isn't that bad. My husband had it and it was just like the regular flu. People seriously need to calm down. If you (or your kids) are sick, stay home. Treat it just like you would any other flu.
People seriously need to calm down.
i agree 100% with this statement....Its just another form of the flu...People die from the regular flu every day so whats the difference.
