If given the chance to extend or come back later on, would you?  

I voted no because I think the 2 years we have done is enough. We are going to move on and see what's next.. But the time spent overseas has definitely opened our eyes to living overseas in te future. We definitely want Germany:) 

We did extend for an extra year. We have 1 more left, giving us a total of 4 years here. I am getting homesick, but I wanted to enjoy Okinawa for a little longer, since it is very unlikely we will be back.

We definitely want Germany I would love to get stationed there. I voted no. Rather go to mainland. I have been here 4 years already and been divorced and married here, lol.

Oh wow! I heard that if you extend for another full tour they give you a free trip back home to visit, is this true? That's what we heard too....Hubby has been checking into it but no tickets so far. 

Kitty: to get Germany he has to reclass, which is what he wanted to do anyhow, but we haven't made a decision yet:( they told us if we go straight to Germany from here, they will send us home for free but we haven't checked into that. 

If we extend again my husband will be here for 7 years. I don't think he's down with that at the moment. It'd be nice to come here right before he retires though (if he so chooses to do so in the military). So my kids can see what it's like and go to school here (out in town). But I don't think Okinawa is an option again for us. We also don't get any other overseas options. 

Kitty: to get Germany he has to reclass, which is what he wanted to do anyhow, but we haven't made a decision yet:( Yea that is true. I am glad to have Campbell right now though. Close to home while the kids are still little. 

I just feel like we have so many places that we could see, so why come back? Somewhere new is better:) As far as reclassing, kitten, we shall see what happens with that. I'll pm you what he wants to do:) 

2 years was my fill. i'm not going to b!tch and moan about being here another 2 years...but i've had my fill. maybe i'll come back for a visit jsut for some coco's. 

Oh god knows if we got extended for some reason or another or had to come back, I wouldn't die or anything.. We both just get bored in one spot and wanna see more.

It depends. If our choice was here or stateside, we would definitely pick here. If our choice was here or other overseas that would rock (like Europe), we'd pick other overseas.

I know a few people goin to Italy.. Lucky b*tches!!! I like it here but I'm just not a big fan of Asia. Put me in Europe and I am set for life!

I had a friend of mine (from Oki) teach me how to make curry and showed me the store off base to get my stuff from as well as a website to order from when we get back. The funny part is is that, we dont even go to Coco's anymore. The price of one meal at Coco's is what I spend at the store to make a whole pot. I refuse to spend that money anymore when I can just cook it myself and have endless amounts for days:) 

I voted no. I don't hate this place, but I don't really love it either. I tolerate it. I can't wait to go back home. :P 

We were in Mainland Misawa for 3 years and here for 3 years but I am done with Asia. We Pcs in March and I am so excited and that is a 4 year tour so hopefully after that we can go to Germany!

We're doing an Epcot (3 year extension). Not that we LOVE Oki but the economy is terrible in the States and this is a great place for saving monies!
