I did search and I'm aware of the USO. But I want to know has anyone taken their child to a piercing place off base. I prefer piercings without those horrible guns.
I'm also interested in this. We got my daughter's pierced when we were home, but had to take them out for CDC since we couldn't find screw post earrings that didn't cost $100. They closed and now we want to get them redone.

I haven't heard this rule! My 2 year old has her ears pierced and she doesn't have the screw post earrings. However, I was able to find some on Amazon for about $30.
Anyone else wait until their daughter is old enough to decide on their on? Just curious as I know some people wait and some will have infants' ears pierced.

They told me it was for infants only because it's a choking hazard if the backing falls off. It's understandable I guess. All of the ones we found on Amazon that she can wear are like $100. She has really sensitive skin.

My parents had mine done when I was a baby and I don't see the big deal. If you don't want earrings, you just let them close or don't wear them. It's not like a tattoo or something really hard to hide. I'll be sure to consult you on all future parenting decisions though.

Chi, I was only asking if anyone had waited...never said doing it was wrong just asking...your consultation comment is just an attempt to stir shite up...geez...relax.

Mine were done at 4 and I wish my parents would have waited...never wear earrings.
Mine where done in the hospital. I have a twin brother so the doctors thought it would be easier on my parents to tell us apart. I would have thought the genitals would have been a dead give away but thats me.. Silly German hospitals. Anyways I hate to wear earrings they driving my ears NUTS
M i'm down with going with you, I want my nose done.. A cute little stud.. Yet if i get a little zit on my nose i go crossed eyed so it might not be such a great idea. hummm

Did they not realize that 1, the genitals would be a huge giveaway, and 2, it's not like your parents were going to dress you in identical pink dresses or in identical sailor suits-so they shouldn't have an issue even when you were clothed?
lol. I can only imagine what was going on in the doctors minds....
Exactly, Nikki. I'm just not sure if the shops here have rules about children or if I can just walk in with my daughter.
SHop 58 allows children, but i have no idea if she does earpiercing on a kid or not. we took my friend to get a piercing when i went to get my tongue repierced, we just sat with them in the waiting area. i've never seen a shop anywhere that minded kids being up front. i'd just walk in and ask.. they're not too far down there.
i got mine done the first time at 7 for my birthday, a second set aqt 9, and at 13 i got a third on both sides when my mom went to get a second. i did the single one on my right ear up top myself, with my friends piercing kit. guns are inadvisable on cartilage, and i see why, it took forever to heal up right. it rips up the cartilage a lot more than just a needle.

We didn't even look a like nor do we now.. I have blond curls with light eyes he has brown hair with brown eyes. i'm 5 foot tall he is 6'7" We are polar opposites in personality too. i'm more out going and he is so not that. i'm a school nerd he hated school with a passion.
Such a perfect little angle.... awwwww i'm pretty sure your asking was like I really really really want my ears pierced with some feet stomping, and hair pulling door slamming fit.. lol OH and I want a BRA too, all my friends have them so I want one.
I was the youngest so I didn't have to do any of that. I just smiled.
NIce, so no whinny voice, I really really want them done? Or is that the middle child who does that.. I was the youngest too, and only girl.. Apparently the doctors thought my parents had never seen a girl before, so earrings it was..
