I didn't want to cook tonight so I took the kids to Family Night. OMG... I saw a kid rip a branch off of one of the fake trees and just run around the place! Seriously parents, WTF makes you think that just because it's "Family Night" your kid can be a brat without manners? Do they not realize that a kids bad manners and behavior is a direct reflection of the parent? Damn crappy parents!!! 

There was a kid at Retro Night that kept throwing balls on the dance floor (big hard bouncy balls). When the kid would do it, he ducked behind the railing and would laugh. This particular kid was a punk.

The kid was running around, running into people, and ended up knocking a little girl down. The little girl busted her mouth open. 

I would kick him in the throat! 

I held back a branch on one of the "trees" and when he came running by I let it go. It smacked him in the head and I literally LOL'd :D 

What is family night? 

I dont know if all the bases have them or not, but basically, a restaurant will have a kid friendly buffet and also have art and crafts for the kids to do. At the one we went to they had chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, mac n cheese, spagetti w/ meat sause, lasagna, and chicken cacciatore. I've heard that sometimes they also have raffles and bounce houses outside. I'm not sure when they do those though. 

Retro Night on Kadena is a family night buffet, too. It is fun. Just a little crazy. If you can handle all the kids, go. It is a great place to spend time with your kids. Plus, it is super cheap. 

No, I was at the one on Courtney. They didn't have any of that stuff there tonight. The kids just made beaded necklaces and melted crayon shavings on wax paper...Maybe next week we will try the one on Kadena. Where is it at?

Next Wednesday is Retro Night at the O'Club. It starts at 530 pm. *edit*

I will never go to family night again, we tried it once and there was no food at the buffet at all, not even bread, and some kid stood there and stared at me the whole time I ate.

Weird. We have never had a problem with food. Now I will say the food isn't the greatest, but what do you expect for 6$.

They always have a nice variety for the kids and a dessert bar. I am all about the dessert bar!

No desserts. They had nothing, only a couple crappy things and no beverages either besides water. And yes, the kid was wierd. I asked him where his mom was three times and told him to leave and he just kept staring. 

Yeah I'm really not into crappy parents not disciplining their kids, but it's pretty messed up for an adult to smack a kid in the face with a branch. Instead of getting revenge why don't you just say something to the parents or someone who works there

Wow. just wow. It's shit like this that perpetuates the wild behavior of the kids. You should have your parental rights revoked and be publicly flogged with branches of fake trees.

And the kid should be shot in the face with a .50 cal. What's your point? Justice will never be served. 

I wish they would put a sign like that everywhere especially on base!! Maybe then parents would learn to not let their kids control them. I would never harm a child but there have been a few times at the BX/commissary when I have seriously thought about hitting them with buggies. Talking to their parents doesn't work. If it did work the kid wouldn't act like that in the first place. Whatever happen to busting your child's @$$??
