I just noticed this in the blue font next to each user name in a comment: name --- 2 hours ago - quote - flag comment - don't show me comments from this user
Is that "don't show me comments from this user" a new option on OU? Or was I missing it before?
And another thing: the Revolutometer went from 55% to 42% overnight. Are the MODS making us happy? yea! ?
what is the purpose of the revolt though? i mean, is it just something the mods keep track of to see how we the "non-mods" are enjoying the site or something?

I know! Except last night I watched a friend's kids and I don't sleep when I'm there. Plus, besides the normal waking up to eat, we had a mini-meltdown at 4:00 this morning. I'm definitely going to need a nap after lunch today.
Yeah, you can. Their post still comes up, but it just says, "hidden at your request" then the user who put it. Next to it their is an option to unblock.
Is there another thread about this? Or someone just talked about it randomly in a thread? I've only read it in this one.
I was about to ask this too. M and I discussed it in the "Friday" thread.
I wouldn't relate STO's question to being in a "Friday" thread. Just saying, not everyone reads every single thread but only the one's they find interesting. (wasn't that the main reason we have several different mods since not everyone reads ALL of the threads.) I know a lot of people skip over threads because they don't want to read them. So Chitown maybe STO didn't want to "read" the friday thread because it was of no interest to them....seeings how there is a thread made for almost every single day of the week on here daily and most of the time all people do is discuss what their plans are for the day.
Just as any other thread, they never stay on topic.
Did someone ask "What's For Dinner" already?
or perhpas someone can start the "Saturday" Thread early, and it will really screw up some people who will log on later and think it is Saturday already.
Ah, oh. I think maybe a MOD might edit this comment. Should I go ahead and hit that revolt button now?
(heart)Mrs. Boss(heart) is right. I don't read every thread/discussion and definitely don't read all the comments. And even if I do read them, I sometimes don't have any interest in them, understand them, comprehend them, or remember them.
I glanced at that "Happy Friday" thread and missed that detailed/indepth discussion and comments between 2 people on the new "don't show me comments from this user" thingy.
I started a discussion on it because perhaps one of the MODs knew more about it, or knew of other options that are coming soon. Maybe one of them got a message from Adam concerning it. Or maybe it was there previously and I missed it, etc.
If you click on that option next to your own name, your own comments disappear and it is sort of like having dimentia or early onset/symptoms of Alzheimer's.
