i had surgery at lester this week and I was sooooo pleased with ALL the nurses, doctors, and help!

I can't see how anyone would have a bad experience. I waited a little while, but it was due to someone with an emergency surgery.

I was so happy with my visit, and they went out of their ways to make my stay as pleasant as it could be!!!!

Really? lmao. You're one person, who had one surgery. There are bound to be both good and bad experiences, along with fantastic and terrible.

lol

I agree give them a great ICE comment, I did after my daughter was born..I felt the same way...I'm sure people don't have the best experiences there but I also think a lot compare Lester's hospital to a civilian hospital in the states...and that's why their experience was bad, it wasn't up to their par...I have always felt taken care of here...My daughter was in the NICU and I had an emergency c section, I was just in the ER a few weeks ago and I didn't wait very long at all...

I was pleased when the ultrasound tech was unsure where to find the lump in my breast that was clearly noted. :|

Let me add, I have had both bad and good experiences here. More bad than good, but there are some great doctors here.

I had a bad experience when I had my daughter, but great experiences 2 weeks later when I went to the ER and 3 weeks later when I had my gallbladder out. It all depends on who you see, just like any other hospital.

i have had bad experiences *GASP* ina civilian hospital. one i've worked with and around in my old job, one where i knew a lot of the staff. liek everyone said, it's based on individual experiences. i had a bad start to my birth experience at lester, starting with being sent home and told to just "sleep off the contractions"

and then upon return to the hospital, the nurse i got gave me a good 5 minute lecture about how i had 9 months to take a lamaze class and i should have and blah blah blah... kinda made me think "it's a little late now isn't it? this isn't my first rodeo either.. if you would have read my chart in your hand, you'd not have been surprised when i said that."

Casey --- 14 years ago -

yea... i know it happens, but it probably shouldn't happen when you tell them your first labor was a total of 5 to 6 hours, from start to finish. and that you were dialated 4 cm an hour before delivery... and are now just over 4 cm.

Casey --- 14 years ago -

i had babyzilla within 2 hours of coming back.. no time for an epidural then either. they'd already had me get my paperwork done when i came in before, but forgot the freaking epidural form.. so by the time i got it and they had it signed, and then finally called the anesthesiologist, it was waaaaay too late.

I went there twice, both times was a very nice experience at family practice. The 1st time to ask for meds I need for a condition, and even know I don't have my records , the doctor gave me the meds , dang that day I also forgot my ID. And today to remove my IUD , but the doctor could not do it, the mirena travel , but already have an another appt schedule by the doctor with a more proper doctor for my situation , so both times I was very pleased

The price it right

ditto. YOu should definitely send that in as an ICE comment, as well as a Magic Moment. I think some bad experiences are justified of course, but most are from people who dont see the bigger picture, and who are spoiled because they have never had to pay for healthcare in a non military environment. MOST of the docs, nurses, and faculty are GREAT at Lester and at San Diego as well.

I have an awesome team of doctors that take good care of me on Lester. I had no idea that they would contact my doctors in the states to keep them up to date, and to figure out the next steps on how to treat my condition.
Its the family practice on Courtney that rub me the wrong way.
